July Idea for Younger ChildrenCD Spin
Missionaries Nick and Natalie Cochran* work at a recording studio in the Middle East. They record God’s Word and put it on CDs. They give the CDs to people who don’t know Jesus. Play this game to help younger children discover how to pray for the Cochrans.
Instructions:
1. Have children stand and form a circle. Designate one child to be the “CD.” Have her stand in the center of the circle with her arms extended out to her sides.
2. Play some music.
3. The children in the circle should run around counter-clockwise while the child in the middle spins like a CD clockwise with her arms extended.
4. When you stop the music, everyone should stop moving and stand in place. The “CD” should now be pointing to two children on opposite sites of the circle.
5. The child she is pointing to with her right hand should state one way he can pray for the Cochrans.
6. The child she is pointing to with her left hand should state one way he could love others this week.
7. Then have the child who shared the prayer idea to switch places with the “CD” in the center.
8. Repeat the activity. Allow several children to be the “CD.”
