Square Foot Gardening is simple, fun, and provides an opportunity to involve people from multiple generations. It is a great way to connect with neighbors and with God. Sharing experiences through gardening builds relationships and grows community (and some yummy veggies).

Many people believe that instead of investing our personal time and money into short-term trips, we should send our money to career missionaries and let them invest it however they think best. However, relational missions is one of the most effective ways to tell others about Christ, whether locally or overseas.

A couple of years ago, our family moved to a new city. We noticed something about our city right away. We noticed the woman with the sign at the stoplight by the grocery store. There was the man we passed on the way to piano lessons. We saw the older man holding a weathered piece of cardboard next to McDonalds. It seemed everywhere we went, people were panhandling. I not only felt my own heart stirring, but I watched my young children reading every sign and begging to help. As a family, we decided to do something.
