It is the evil of one human being exploiting another for profit. Human exploitation is not confined to other countries. It is here at our own backdoor.

Cool. Clear. Refreshing. Fun. Water in the summertime. There is nothing quite like jumping in a cool stream of water in the middle of hot summertime heat. Or guzzling down a bottle of ice cold water after a long hike in the mountains. For most Americans the thought of getting deathly ill from the water we just played in or the water we just guzzled down never crosses our mind. But America is the exception not the norm.

Many people believe that a child living in poverty or abuse only happens abroad, when in fact, it is extremely prevalent in the United States. Children all over the US live in poverty. Child abuse and oppression can happen right next door to us. We can only make a difference if we first educate ourselves on the issue and then get involved.

The Middle East is on fire—or so it seems from the news reports. Starting with Egypt, the domino effect seems to be in play as citizens take to the streets to protest one government after another. Though we don’t know exactly how it will turn out in each country, it is interesting to watch in light of end-times prophecy.
